This high-end result has set the benchmark for club refurbishments throughout Australia.

SHAPE was engaged by BCCS Project Management to deliver the multi-stage redevelopment of CSi Club Southport, transforming the venue while maintaining full operational continuity. Initially engaged under an ECI model, SHAPE collaborated with CSI and BCCS to align budget, program, and quality objectives, providing buildability input during early design phases.

Stage 1 focused on upgrading the gaming lounge, amenities, lighting, ceilings, and constructing a new bar and reception with high-end joinery, all delivered in carefully sequenced stages. Areas were hoarded to maintain patron access to key facilities throughout construction. Designed by BSPN Architecture, the fitout set a benchmark for hospitality refurbishment.

Following Stage 1 success, SHAPE was appointed for Stage 2, delivering a commercial kitchen, front-of-house café, new entry, enhanced dining spaces, and a kids’ club. The bistro bar and extended dining area, seating 220 guests, significantly increased patronage and activated previously underused areas.

A new function room was later added to the scope as a variation and completed within three weeks and under budget.

The revitalised spaces were delivered in a live environment with minimal disruption and have elevated CSi Club Southport into a leading family-friendly hospitality and entertainment destination.
