SHAPE was chosen to complete the works due to a long-lasting relationship with The Star Casino, both in Gold Coast and Sydney.

SHAPE was engaged by The Star to complete a full refurbishment of an Imperial Chinese Restaurant, Uncle Su, as well as the fitout of a new Promenade area at their Gold Coast hotel.

Stunningly designed by Plus Architecture, the scope of works was to refurbish an existing old Chinese Restaurant, into a high-end restaurant for the Star’s guests. The Promenade walkway area was a new build cold-shell area, which was designed and transformed into a large high end interconnecting walkway area between towers. SHAPE constructed the Pergola, planter boxes, lift lobby wall, floor/wall finishes and structural steel throughout the Promenade.

All building works were completed in a live hotel environment so minimum disruption to guests and staff was imperative.

The promenade works included the fitout of a new extended atrium pergola and feature walls and columns.
