Born in Queensland, Ben spent most of his youth in hotels as his parents owned and managed several pubs – hence his love of XXXX Gold!
Ben has a private pilot’s licence, but his main hobby is playing golf, and spending weekends away with his wife and three kids in their caravan at places along the Queensland coast. His favourite sporting team is the Broncos.
Ben has a deep level of experience in building and construction, having spent 13 years in the industry working across a diverse range of sectors in the Australian market. During his 12 years with SHAPE, Ben has held various positions, including Project Manager, Commercial Manager, and General Manager of the ACT branch.
His vast experience in managing projects from design concept through to delivery, as well as his strong focus on stakeholder management and client relations, provides clients with the reassurance of a high-quality outcome. Ben’s extensive experience to date ensures he is a strong leader for the QLD team, fostering strong client relationships through successful project outcomes.
Adam joined the company in 2008 as a Project Manager and has held several roles since, including Commercial Manager, Group Manager Design & Construct, and most recently General Manager of the VIC state office.
With over 18 years of project management and construction experience, Adam offers a detailed understanding of project delivery. Through a partnership approach, Adam collaborates with clients in the office, hotel, education, healthcare, retail and speciality sectors to deliver projects on time and defect-free.

Kate is a mum of two and enjoys running, playing netball and going to the gym to keep fit. She is a keen skier in winter, beachgoer in summer and a horse racing enthusiast.

Kate commenced with SHAPE in 2004 as the NSW Office Manager and assisted with the formal introduction of human resource services to SHAPE in 2006, before formally moving into the People and Culture area of the business.
Kate is responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of all functions associated with the management of People and Culture including leadership development, organisational culture, learning and development, recruitment, remuneration, benefits and performance management. She also oversees the company’s Marketing & Communications function.
With a Diploma of Business (Human Resources), Kate enjoys being part of an effective leadership team that drives business results through highly engaged and motivated employees.
Grant enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown boys. He loves to travel, experience new cultures and relax with good food and wine.

Grant has formal qualifications in building and management, combined with 25 plus years of industry experience. Grant joined SHAPE in 2005 and leads the SA and NT teams.
Grant understands the delivery of projects can often be complicated and is almost always undertaken within a tight time frame and strict budget parameters. In this, he believes project success is very much a result of championing great teamwork.
He sees his role as supporting and leading his team as they create a collaborative, results-oriented approach to working with all project stakeholders, and ultimately delivering the very best outcomes for SHAPE’s clients.
Phillip’s perfect day would include an early surf, a swim with the family, an afternoon nap and a BBQ with friends. His favourite sporting team is the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Phillip joined SHAPE in 2006 as a Project Manager and has since held several positions including Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, and most recently NSW General Manager.
Working both in Australia and the UK, Phillip has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He offers extensive project and financial management experience that ensure the best possible client outcomes. Phillip’s specialist fitout and refurbishment experience and his focus on strengthening client relationships makes him a strong leader for the NSW team.
Glen is a fourth generation King Islander. He is an avid Hawthorn fan and has a Cocker Spaniel, Buddy, named after the former Hawthorn star.

Glen has held a variety of senior positions over his 20 years in the industry including NSW General Manager, QLD General Manager, Regional Manager and Head of Development. He now heads up property, and he has held director roles on several business unit boards and the parent company board over the last 10 years.
He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Building from the University of Canberra and an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
Peter loves surfing, fishing, snowboarding, soccer and pretty much anything that involves boats or water. He is a father of two teenage sons and made his come back to team sport as the proud coach of the over 35 F grade.

Peter Marix-Evans was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in December 2017. After joining SHAPE in 2011 as the Group Executive and General Manager of NSW, he became Chief Operating Officer in August 2016.
Peter brings nearly 30 years of wide-ranging construction and industry experience, including senior roles in both commercial and public sectors including risk and commercial management, customer experience and environmental health and safety (EHS).
Before joining SHAPE, Peter held several operational and strategic management positions at Lend Lease, including General Manager for NSW, Operations Manager for ACT, National Operations Manager and Head of EHS for the Asia Pacific. He has particular passions for customer experience, as well as developing and leading high-performance teams.
With 17 years working in construction, Tom brings substantial and varied experience to the General Manager role in the ACT. Joining SHAPE in 2014 as a Commercial Manager, Tom made the transition from an electrical background to fitout and refurbishment.
He commenced his career as an electrical apprentice and progressed through various roles including Account Manager, Client Service Manager, Project Manager and Branch Manager. With years of experience in client contract and programme management, his specialist knowledge ensures strong leadership for the ACT team, fostering high-quality project outcomes.
Peter has spent a lot of his career travelling throughout Australia, including to some beautiful, remote parts of northern Australia. He is a passionate golfer, an avid wine enthusiast and supports the GWS Giants in the AFL.
He is surrounded by a family of girls – his wife, two daughters and a dog named Millie.
Peter has 18 years of operational and management experience gained across a diverse range of roles in the private and public sectors. Peter spent 10 years in Federal Government before moving into the building and construction industry, taking on senior operational and national business development roles.
In his position as National Projects Director, Peter combines his industry experience with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills in the management and strategic development of national clients and programmes. Peter also heads up DLG SHAPE; a majority Indigenous owned business that provides construction and fitout services across Australia for both government and private sector clients. It is the realisation of SHAPE Australia and Indigenous business advisory company, the David Liddiard Group.
DLG SHAPE aims to bring spaces to life while creating more commercial construction opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
Damian enjoys AFL, cooking and supports Fremantle.
He believes in working ‘smarter not harder’.
Having held various positions at SHAPE over the past 10 years, Damian brings substantial and varied experience to the General Manager role in WA. He has a solid knowledge of building and construction after fulfilling roles from Site Manager through to Commercial Manager.
Damian’s vast experience spans a range of disciplines, comprising new build, commercial, refurbishment and office fitouts across hospitals, commercial offices, computer/data centres, retail outlets, courtrooms, hotels and base building upgrades. His extensive construction experience allows him to lead the WA team successfully and provides clients with reassurance for successful project outcomes.
Scott has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney and is both a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor.
After working as an External Auditor for SHAPE for seven years, Scott joined the SHAPE team as a Financial Controller.
He has been an integral member of the SHAPE team for 10 years and is now Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all of the financial aspects of SHAPE, including strategic decision making.
George became a die-hard Hawthorn fan after discovering a passion for AFL upon moving to Australia. His favourite place on earth is South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.

George has over 25 years of experience in construction, mining and transportation engineering. His wide variety of roles have taken him and his family to the US, India and Zambia, and finally Australia.
He has been part of the SHAPE team since 2007 and is responsible for strategy and business technology. George holds Bachelor’s degrees in Architectural Engineering and Civil Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA (Technology Management) from Deakin University.
Phillip is a keen Brisbane Broncos supporter and has a fascination with rotary engines. He has two sons, two grandsons and a house full of pets. He believes that pets and family are two ways to experience love and learn patience.

Phil’s career spans over three decades, the last 14 with SHAPE. His hands-on experience in the building industry, coupled with operational, project delivery and strategic management make him an invaluable member of the team.
As Group Executive – Environment, Health, Safety and Quality, Phil leads our ‘safety first’ culture, together with a strategic but practical ‘best practice’ approach to our environment and quality responsibilities. Phil has a Diploma of Work Health and Safety, a Certificate IV in both Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Construction, and is a registered builder.
