Michael Buddee

General Manager – VIC

'Buddee'

Career
With over a decade at SHAPE and qualifications in both Civil Engineering and Architecture, Michael brings a rare depth of understanding across design, construction, and delivery. His people-first leadership style, strategic vision, and technical expertise allow him to guide teams seamlessly from ECI through to practical completion, delivering outstanding outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

As General Manager of SHAPE Victoria, Michael is particularly passionate about expanding the capabilities of his Melbourne and Geelong teams as leaders in sustainability and social procurement, strengthening SHAPE’s presence in the education and healthcare sectors, and bolstering preconstruction and new build capabilities.

Life
Michael was born in Thailand, so it should come as no surprise that he adds chilli to everything. When he’s not busy making things happen for SHAPE, you’ll find him walking his dog, Penny, cooking up a storm, or cutting shapes (pun intended) on a dance floor.

As she understands the complexities of each individual client and project, Anita makes it her priority to ensure our teams understand key client and project requirements from the start to finish.

Anita’s passion for construction and architecture began at a young age, inspired by her father. She adores her busy life with her husband and three children but occasionally enjoys relaxing with a book or yoga session.
