SHAPE delivers high-quality fitout for Department of Communities in Joondalup

The Department of Finance, on behalf of the Department of Communities, engaged the services of SHAPE as an experienced and professional head contractor to undertake a quality fitout across two levels of a new building in Joondalup.

The base build was not fully complete when we took possession of the site, making strong communication essential. Clear access routes, coordination of deliveries, and agreements on access to power and amenities were established through regular meetings with all involved parties.

The scope of works entailed a full, high-quality fitout comprising floor and wall finishes, custom joinery and a full service upgrade. Throughout the project, the colour palette is earthy and calming and features many curves in the joinery and partitioning.

Stand out components of the fitout consist of a reception area with a bespoke countertop, feature ceiling and lighting, several interview and observation rooms equipped with intricate security scope, open area work stations, a boardroom, and various meeting and focus rooms. An innovative approach was used by providing a CAD produced template to cut the outline of Lake Joondalup into the vinyl flooring of the staff kitchen hub for an added design feature.

All stakeholders engaged in a collaborative approach which resulted in the best outcome for the project as a whole. SHAPE is proud to have successfully delivered this exciting and beautiful space for our client.
