Shaping adaptable high-end spaces

Salta Properties engaged SHAPE to work alongside Carr in delivering this high-end, single-floor fitout of their new Melbourne head office at 35 Collins Street. The intention of the project was to create a warm and welcoming workplace for their staff and clients; the result is a high-quality office that reflects both Salta’s culture and their capabilities.

The scope of works includes an arrival zone with a waiting area and front-of-house meeting rooms, a boardroom, project room and flexible open-plan workstations. Structural steel was used for the custom operable sliding glass door, and high-end furniture and finishes feature throughout. There is extensive timber panelling and joinery incorporated in the space, with the rich colours and textures contributing to the sophisticated and inviting environment.

A key element of the design is the Fade Ceiling acoustic plaster that features throughout the entrance and breakout spaces, minimising noise transfer and reverberation. This was a very involved process, that required staging of the work areas and significant communication with trades to ensure an efficient programme and on-time delivery.

Salta, as industry-leading property developers, asset managers and investors, brought their invaluable knowledge and experience to this project, and working collaboratively with them and the wider stakeholders was a highlight for the SHAPE team.
