SHAPE delivered a coordinated refresh across three Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) offices, Geelong, Morwell and Broadmeadows, all designed to enhance workplace functionality, acoustic performance, and security.
In Geelong, works included the removal of outdated finishes and meeting rooms, new full-height acoustic partitions, and the installation of a mechanical louvre requiring façade removal and reinstatement. Security upgrades included CCTV and duress buttons across all client-facing areas, alongside new DDA-compliant reception and wellness room joinery.
Morwell followed a similar scope, with the addition of rooftop mechanical upgrades and scaffold access, and Broadmeadows included strategic enhancements including new acoustic partitions, mechanical updates, and security improvements.
All three sites were staged to align with VLA’s IT transition requirements, ensuring seamless service continuity and minimal disruption. Collaboration was key to success. SHAPE worked closely with VLA, Turner & Townsend, Studio BE and NDY to navigate live environments, integrate new systems into existing services and maintain consistency across locations. The revitalised offices now offer more secure and adaptable workplaces to support VLA’s staff and community services into the future.
