SHAPE delivered Pinsent Masons’ Sydney fitout, combining contemporary functionality, timeless design and lower-carbon material choices.

SHAPE was engaged to deliver a premium workplace fitout for Pinsent Masons across Levels 16 and 17 at 33 Alfred Street, Sydney. Designed by Bates Smart, the workplace pays homage to the building’s heritage through a refined 1960s-inspired aesthetic, blending contemporary functionality with timeless design. The fitout features a welcoming reception that doubles as an event space, a sophisticated breakout area, boardrooms, meeting rooms, open-plan workspaces, essential workplace amenities and a striking interconnecting stair that seamlessly links the two levels.

A key project achievement was the delivery of a 30% reduction in embodied carbon emissions compared with a defined reference project. This outcome was achieved through the careful selection of low-carbon materials and the reuse of existing furniture, supporting the client’s sustainability objectives.
