Broadcasting Brilliance at the Australian Radio Network’s New Darwin Hub

NT Broadcasters has recently merged with the Australian Radio Network (ARN), recognizing the need for a national qualifying standard for radio studios and accompanying office space in the greater Darwin area. This project involved the development of a new space within an existing building, featuring ARN’s proprietary design for timber-framed, air-gapped, standalone studios to ensure optimal soundproofing. The large double-glazed acoustic windows, trimmed with timeless Tassie Oak, provide visitors and guests with a glimpse into the workings of commercial radio without any disruption.

The new Master Control Room and dedicated engineers’ workshop represent a much-needed expansion for the station, seamlessly integrating with the collaborative workspaces for the programming and sales teams on each level.

The breakout area is designed to be engaging and vibrant, with bright colors, an open-plan kitchen, and eating area, along with feature finishes that create a fun and positive atmosphere for the ARN team. Additionally, the state-of-the-art meeting room, newly introduced to ARN’s Darwin team, is ideal for in-house meetings or impressing important clients.
