SHAPE was engaged to complete a culturally significant permanent exhibition space for Library and Archives NT. This project provided SHAPE with the unique opportunity to work closely with Convergence Design Australia, gaining firsthand experience with a client renowned for their expertise.
The project featured several key elements, including the Killing Times Area, constructed with plywood and carpet, equipped with power and data to service AV. The Interactive Ant Hills featured plywood moulded frames with acoustic fabric, built-in screen frames, and AV services, while the Gunyah Structure was made of plywood with built-in seats and screen frames, also incorporating AV services. Additionally, Timber Wall Panelling was designed to accommodate screens and custom-cut graphics.
SHAPE had the privilege of collaborating with a team of designers and curators specialising in the delivery and presentation of culturally significant materials and stories. Their expertise in heritage planning, museum master planning, and exhibition realisation was invaluable to this project.
