SHAPE (formerly KLMSA) provided demolition services to remove existing buildings onsite, complete site preparation, civil works, building, installation, and completion of the 84 module three-storey Year 11 to 12 Study Centre in a nine-month time frame, fitting into the school’s landscape and accommodating the school timetable.
Multi-level education solutions are becoming increasingly popular in the education sector due to limited space along with the desire to create integrated learning spaces with outdoor areas. This building comprises of 12 classrooms with a mix of fixed walls and operable walls that can open to create a 600sqm exam room. The top floor features an open plan VCE meeting space, kitchen, offices and breakout areas for students and staff.
A major focus for our team on this project were the fire requirements for this multi-storey project which were successfully addressed to adhere to regulation by working with a range of engineers and consultants.
Building on a long-standing relationship with Bacchus Marsh Grammar, the SHAPE team were able to complete the entire process from demolition to handover time on time and on budget.
