A contemporary six-level campus fitout for the University of Wollongong.

SHAPE was engaged by the University of Wollongong (UOW) to deliver a multi-level campus fitout within a newly constructed building in the Liverpool CBD. The project comprised a fitout across six levels and was delivered within a live, operational environment, with the remaining floors occupied by commercial tenants and Liverpool City Council. Careful staging, stakeholder coordination, and stringent site management protocols were implemented to ensure minimal disruption to other occupants while maintaining programme certainty.

SHAPE delivered purpose-built teaching and learning facilities supporting a diverse range of disciplines, including nursing, health sciences, primary education, and computer science. The scope also incorporated administration areas and contemporary student-focused spaces designed to enhance the campus experience.

The project was delivered with a strong emphasis on collaboration and flexibility, successfully accommodating a significant volume of client-driven changes throughout the delivery phase. Despite these changes, SHAPE maintained the agreed Practical Completion milestone, ensuring the facilities were fully operational and ready for teaching commencement in early 2026.
