The projects tight budget was achieved through a smart, practical design and competitive ongoing cost planning.

SHAPE delivered the Allianz Darwin Refurbishment project under an Early Contractor Involvement, Managing Contractor, Design & Construct delivery model. This model allowed SHAPE very early involvement to reverse engineer the design from a project brief and set in stone the budget.

One of the Key challenges for this project was achieving a 2000m2 refurbishment which included furniture, whilst maintaining a budget of under $1.5M. This was achieved through a smart, practical design and competitive ongoing cost planning. The building was also occupied throughout the project duration.

SHAPE utilised our experience within operational environments to deliver the project with minimal impact on other building users and without impacting the programme.

SHAPE delivered this multi-floor project defect-free within the critical 13-week construction time frame with complete stakeholder satisfaction. This was confirmed through client internal surveys and stakeholder post-project reviews.
