Transforming workplace strategy into practical brief, innovative design, and delivering a collaborative, culture-driven workspace – all within six months.

Faced with an expiring lease and evolving business needs, WiseTech Global required a new workplace that could accommodate its expanding team, reflect its culture, and attract and retain top talent. The brief called for a space that would drive collaboration and productivity, enabling world-class technical teams to perform at their best.

Engaged to deliver an end-to-end Design & Build solution, SHAPE worked closely with the WiseTech team to transform their workplace strategy into a functional, collaborative environment to support long-term business growth. Through fast-tracked functional design briefings and stakeholder workshops, the design phase was compressed from 12 to just six weeks to meet the critical deadline without compromise on collaboration, stakeholder engagement and change management.

The result is a world-leading workplace that aligns with the client’s vision and integrates seamlessly into the base building. Tailored to the client’s ways of working, it promotes innovation, problem solving, talent attraction and retention, wellbeing, and overall genuine inclusion.

The new workplace spans three levels – Ground Floor, Level 1 and Level 2 – with an interconnecting staircase. A key objective was to create a layout that encouraged collaboration while maintaining areas for focus work and quiet spaces conducive to high productivity. The fitout features breakout areas, meeting rooms, collaborative work zones, and neurodivergent-friendly design elements such as quiet spaces for privacy and concentration. There’s also a flexible event space for up to 600 people and a 20-person boardroom with custom AV integration.

Designed to support the company’s hybrid working policy, the space features bookable desks, lockers, and ‘drop in’ spaces. To achieve a warm, earthy, and organic aesthetic that complemented the building’s natural light and openness, the SHAPE team, in close collaboration with the client, selected furniture and finishes that brought the design vision to life.

Despite the complexity and fast pace, SHAPE successfully delivered the project within six months, allowing WiseTech to transition smoothly ahead of the lease expiry and setting the foundation for the client’s next phase of growth.
