Delivering tailored office solutions

SHAPE was engaged by NORSTA to deliver a new contract fitout for their Administrative Office. The scope of work involved the Design and Construction of an open office working environment to accommodate 86 full time staff, while incorporating multiple private offices and meeting areas to suit the client’s needs.

Stage 1 involved assembling project-specific professionals for architectural and service design, conducting design brief meetings, and reviewing staged documentation. High-level budgeting at each milestone enabled early value engineering during design and documentation before applying for the build permit.

In Stage 2, SHAPE supported the client with value engineering during the design phase to achieve their budgetary requirements and provided an all-inclusive lump sum fee proposal covering electrical and lighting upgrades, mechanical system alterations, partitions, doors, glazing, joinery, and workstations.

Additional to the FFE, the works included forecasting and incorporating construction methodologies for future physical security ZONE requirements within the envelope of the tenancy and internally within the space. Key areas of consideration in design and delivery were to ensure the office had ample space for a variety of meeting sizes and styles, from high privacy to casual.
