SHAPE have been engaged via an ECI D&C procurement model to partner with Hall & Wilcox to achieve their goal of becoming Newcastle’s premier law firm and A-Grade legal workplace.
SHAPE carried out the design, from concept test fit all the way to turnkey occupation, including direct engagement with all consultants, iterative design, iterative cost planning, all engineering and authority approvals, and lease negotiations with integrated landlord works.
The project scope involves a complete fitout of existing warm shell of Level 11. This fitout is largely comprised of an open office space with flexible work areas including hot desks, alternative workspaces and touchdowns, combined with front of hours secure meeting rooms and a town hall area.
One of the key challenges for this project is ensuring the various legal departments within the law firm are accommodated. This involves varying architectural and service deliverables based on the individual needs of each end user group. A high level of collaboration and communication between the client, consultants and trades are essential for achieving these outcomes.
