Creating a space that provides Curtin University students with a state-of-the-art nursing clinical skills lab.

SHAPE was engaged by Curtin University to complete a refurbishment of Building 405 Clinical Skills Lab. The exciting transformation of this space has provided greater utilisation of the space and a state-of-the art nursing clinical skills
labs (32 beds in total), which will prepare students for the real world environment.

The scope of works included a complete strip out of 4 large teaching spaces with minor modifications to room layouts/sizes, complete mechanical and electrical upgrades to these rooms, new vinyl throughout, new medical duct with associated services, comms room modifications, creation of a wet prep and store rooms, make good to general corridor areas, AV installation to all rooms and remove and replace the fire rated ceiling.

Through close collaboration with the University, the project team and our subcontractors, SHAPE successfully delivered the project without interruption to Curtin University’s operations.
