Elevating functionality and response capabilities for AMSA

SHAPE recently completed a refurbishment project for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) at 18 Marcus Clarke Street in Canberra. This traditional office fitout encompassed Levels 7 and 8, transforming them into a functional space that includes AMSA’s Australian Response Centre.

Throughout the duration of the project, the team effectively minimised delays by implementing quick responses to RFIs, frequent on-site architect visits, and swift material substitutions. Notable innovations included acoustic testing and environmentally conscious waste management practices. The team overcame logistical issues, including constrained vertical transport, by adapting scheduling for smooth material delivery.

This project demonstrated effective collaboration among stakeholders, timely problem-solving, and adaptability, ultimately delivering a high-quality workspace for AMSA’s critical operations.
