The project strengthened our ongoing relationship with both the Department of Finance and Hassell Studio.

The scope included, new mechanical supplementary units and modifications to the chilled beam system, new meeting rooms, functional collaboration spaces, wellness rooms, parents rooms, prayer rooms and focus rooms, three large kitchen and breakout areas, multiple tea points and a large social hub and terrace featuring outdoor barbecue areas, feature timber ceilings throughout breakout spaces and Crestron AV equipment in all meeting and training rooms.

SHAPE’s project team faced difficulties with subcontractor resourcing and long lead times throughout the project. The team ensured open and transparent communication with the Department of Communities, Department of Finance and Hassell Studio for the duration of the works ensuring long lead times and delays were communicated as they arose, along with solutions to keep the project moving forward.

SHAPE successfully delivered the 9,000m2 project on time within budget in a climate of supply chain delays and resource shortages by developing a collaborative relationship with stakeholders and the Department of Communities in order to mitigate the delivery challenges.
