SHAPE was engaged under a construction management contract to undertake a fitout and refurbishment of an existing space.
The fit-out to the existing tenancy included demolition and strip-out work. Features were reused where possible to maintain a cost-effective design approach. Upgrades to the meeting rooms and new operable walls were installed to ensure multi-uses of the space.
A significant AV package with close to 80 TVs was installed throughout the space, including a comprehensive curved media wall system intended to bring the space up to modern fit-for-purpose requirements. Human-centric lights, acoustic ceiling tiles, acoustic wall treatments, a new tea point, utility joinery, workstations, floor finishes, furniture, and FFE were used to architecturally modernize the space.
The high-security nature of the facility ensured security, and acoustic treatments remained a key focus of the build. The entire fitout was built on access floor. Overcoming the cable path planning and workstation logistics were key programming challenges.
