HMAS Stirling Customer Service Centre Building Works
The Department of Defence engaged SHAPE for the refurbishment of their Customer Service Centre at HMAS Stirling, Garden Island, Perth, WA.

The objective of the project was to provide additional permanent and hot desks for 14 Defence units to improve customer service for personnel and private customers.

The scope of works included upgrading the breakout areas, new joinery units, workstations, offices and DDA-accessible amenities. The team also installed acoustic treatment throughout and manage new and existing equipment. In addition to the office area scope SHAPE upgraded the mechanical and electrical services and installed new fire detection systems.

An important part of the project was reconfiguring and upgrading the comms room to meet security requirements while remaining operational. With careful planning and significant scanning, SHAPE was able to deliver the project without any unplanned disruptions. Our project team was able to complete the works on time and to the highest standards with minimal disruption to the base and their personnel.
