Client: AGL Energy
Designer: Gray Puksand
Client Project Manager: Johnstaff Projects
Delivery Model: Lump Sum
Location: Adelaide, SA
Duration: 16 Weeks
Project Size: 5,000m2
This two-level fitout created AGL’s new Adelaide call centre within a building that had recently undergone base build refurbishment. The project included workstations, meeting rooms, training spaces, wellness areas, kitchens, breakout zones, and an exterior terrace with landscaping. A new staircase was constructed between levels, and the scope also included feature ceilings, AV and security systems, switchboard upgrades, and prominent sky signage. Two comms rooms were handed over early to support AGL’s transition into the space.
Delivered under a fast-tracked 16-week programme, the project involved coordination of long-lead items, latent conditions, post-PC works in a live environment, and client-managed contractors for AV and IT systems. SHAPE also managed furniture deliveries from more than 20 suppliers and relocated the existing UPS system.
A collaborative approach between SHAPE and the AGL team underpinned the success of this project, particularly valuable given the consultant and client teams were interstate.
