SHAPE has once again taken home a Queensland Master Builders Association award at the Gold Coast Housing & Construction Awards, this year for its refurbishment of CSi Club Southport.
The 2024 Gold Coast Housing & Construction Awards were held at The Star Gold Coast on Friday, 2 August 2024. They recognise and celebrate the achievements of those at the forefront of building and construction.
SHAPE took out the top spot in the Commercial Refurbishment/Renovation ($5m-$15m) category for CSi Club Southport. The project set a new benchmark for club refurbishments across Australia, thanks to the meticulous planning and high-quality finishes. Through a collaborative Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approach, SHAPE’s partnership with CSi Club Southport and client project managers BCCS ensured that the project met stringent budget, program, and quality objectives. The scope included a new bar area, an upgraded gaming space, enhanced amenities, and a standout reception area featuring high-end joinery.
SHAPE carefully staged the refurbishment to minimise disruption, effectively hoarding off sections of the gaming area, allowing patrons to continue enjoying the bar and amenities. The design excellence, executed by BSPN Architecture, transformed the club into a modern and inviting space.
