As part of our commitment to growing the next generation of construction professionals, SHAPE Geelong is proud to launch the SHAPE Future Leader in Architecture and Construction Award in partnership with Deakin University for their annual School of Architecture and Built Environment Student Awards
The $2,000 award recognises a standout student in the Bachelor of Design (Architecture)/Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) program who excels in blending architectural design with practical construction delivery. Beyond the prize, the top five shortlisted students will be invited to interview for SHAPE’s Cadet Program, offering real-world experience and a clear pathway into the industry.
Following the recent launch of SHAPE’s Geelong branch, the award further deepens the company’s connection with the region and supports students at a formative stage of their careers. In early 2025, SHAPE hosted a project site tour with Deakin students, offering hands-on insights into how theory translates to real project environments.
“At SHAPE, we’re passionate about creating opportunities that lead to long-term careers,” said Thomas Goodear, Regional Manager – Geelong at SHAPE. “By supporting students early on, we’re helping to shape not only their future but also the future of our industry. This award recognises the kind of integrated thinking that will drive innovation in the built environment for years to come.”
