SHAPE Canberra raise $50k at the 2022 Annual Charity Golf Day

SHAPE Canberra and their generous sponsors teed up at the 2022 ACT Annual Charity Golf Day, raising $50k for charity.

SHAPE Canberra partnered with three amazing charities, including brain cancer research by Charlie Teo Foundation, sarcoma cancer research and awareness Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and Karinya House for Mothers & Babies, a support network for women who are pregnant or parenting.

Held this year on Friday, 26 August at the Gold Creek Golf Club, participants competed in an 18-hole event for a chance to win various prizes, take part in activities, and replenish with food and drink.

One of SHAPE’s first major charity events for FY23, this event is part of SHAPE’s commitment to making a positive social impact and will contribute towards its ambitious target to raise $737k this financial year.

Following the golf tournament, subcontractors were treated to a rousing speech by special guest Peter Sterling, former rugby league commentator, television personality and player.

The night then concluded with an auction where the subcontractors were given a chance to bid for some exciting items – including Canberra Raiders and Brumbies jerseys.
