Double win for Elysium Noosa at the 2026 Master Builders Sunshine Coast Awards
Two Elysium Noosa projects delivered by SHAPE Brisbane have completed a clean sweep for SHAPE QLD at the 2026 Master Builders QLD Regional Housing & Construction Awards, with all eight nominated projects winning their categories.
At the Sunshine Coast Housing & Construction Awards on Friday, 21 August, the Elysium Noosa Room Refurbishment won Commercial Refurbishment/Renovation from $10 million up to $25 million, while the Elysium Noosa Cibaria Restaurant Fitout won Commercial Fitout over $10 million.
The two awards recognise different parts of a major transformation that repositioned the landmark Noosa resort as Australia’s first Elysium-branded property.
Engaged by Arkadia under an Early Contractor Involvement and Design & Construct model, SHAPE refurbished 165 guest rooms and upgraded the hotel’s corridors and lift lobbies. Mock-up rooms allowed the project team to test key design elements before the full rollout, while staged procurement and construction maintained room availability throughout the nine-month programme.
The transformation extended to the hotel’s Hastings Street hospitality precinct, now home to Cibaria Noosa and Bar Capri. SHAPE delivered a new commercial kitchen and dedicated preparation kitchen, basement amenities, a redesigned bar and a distinctive lily pond dining experience.
All works were carefully coordinated within a live hotel environment, maintaining guest comfort and hotel operations while delivering a cohesive, high-quality finish across the guest rooms, restaurant and bar.

The Sunshine Coast wins complete an exceptional regional awards season for SHAPE Queensland, with eight category wins from eight nominations across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast.
