Keeta Welch wins NT Future Leader of the Year Award 2022

SHAPE NT Commercial Manager – Delivery, Keeta Welch, has won the NT Property Council of Australia and Hames Sharley Future Leader of the Year Award 2022.

The Property Industry Awards, held on Friday, 9 December 2022 at Mindil Beach Casino Resort, acknowledge, encourage and promote the positive contribution made to the industry by outstanding property professionals and projects in the Northern Territory.

The Property Council of Australia and Hames Sharley Future Leader of the Year Award is open to property professionals aged 35 and under. It recognises emerging industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the property and construction industry and community in the Top End.

Since starting with the SHAPE NT team at just 18 years of age, Keeta has since risen to become Commercial Manager -Delivery. She has helped deliver some of the Northern Territory’s biggest projects, including the award-winning Jacana Energy Darwin Office, EY Darwin Office and Engineers Australia Darwin Office.

Keeta is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry. Keeta holds the role of SHAPE NT’s State Diversity and Inclusion Champion and is an active member with National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) in Darwin.

The Property Council of Australia and Hames Sharley Future Leader of the Year Award is open to property professionals aged 35 and under. It recognises emerging industry professionals who have made significant contributions to the property and construction industry and community in the Top End.

Speaking on Keeta’s award win, SHAPE General Manager – NT, Nicholas Mills, said, “We’re very proud that Keeta has been recognised by Property Council of Australia for her significant contributions to the industry.

“A born and breed Territorian, she has been a dedicated and important member of our team for more than a decade. During this time, Keeta has worked tirelessly to deliver outstanding results for our clients in the Northern Territory and promote diversity and inclusion, particularly around the advancement of women.”

Keeta was also the 2020 winner of Master Builders NT Women in Construction Award.
