KPMG Canberra Office Fitout
The integrated fitout and refurbishment on Levels 7, 8 and 9 of the new Constitution Place building.

Client: KPMG
Designer: Davenport Campbell
Client Project Manager: APG
Delivery Model: Lump Sum
Location: Canberra, ACT
Duration:  15 weeks
Project Size: 5,250 m2

Underpinned by the concept of community, place and home, the space represents a further evolution in KMPG’s agile ways of working.

SHAPE were awarded the project and presented with floor plates that were warm shell for levels 7 and 8 and a cold shell for Level 9. The design for the fitout incorporated an even spread of spending across the working floors (7&8) and specialised spending on level 9.

The fitout popped with the use of colours and designs across the wall colours, flooring selection, joinery use and wall panelling. This created lively and exciting work floors on level 7 and 8 along with stunning designs and finishes within Level 9 for the client floor.

Logistics of material delivery and people movement proved to be one of the key challenges of this project. The SHAPE team incorporated lift drivers, forklift operators, and coordination with base building builder to minimise the impact material delivery and people movement could have had on the project.
The SHAPE team also ensured that all project trades were organised to suit the current arrangement for logistics when delivering materials.
