Stage 1 of the new Donnybrook Campus for Hume Anglican Grammar is a single storey learning facility. Located 50km north of Melbourne’s CBD, the campus is situated within the growing community of Olivine Estate on an expansive eight-hectare site.
With creative and contemporary plans for open, environmentally friendly spaces, the building comprises state-of-the-art learning areas including six classrooms with double-sliding glass doors that can be used to create continuous spaces and encourage collaborative learning. A reading room and cosy reading nook provide additional specialty learning areas.
Being one of the first buildings on site, the building also houses a reception area with adjoining office, a meeting room, staff lounge, storage room and amenities.
The true hero of this design is the double-height ceilings in the agora, a central circulation area providing the school with an expansive naturally fit-for-purpose collaborative space to conduct indoor PE classes, assemblies, and general open-plan learning activities with ease and comfort.
Stage 1 Donnybrook Campus was manufactured, delivered, fitted off and handed over to Hume Anglican Grammar by our SHAPE team (formerly KLMSA) in four months from award.
