SHAPE provided a brand new recreation and leisure zone ‘The Cove’ for staff at 201 Kent Street. Designed by Studio Allan Marshall and constructed by SHAPE Australia, The Cove provides a quarter length basketball court, golf simulator, peloton bikes and a sports lounge.
All works were undertaken in a vacated Plus Fitness gym which was unoccupied for many years. The SHAPE team faced site condition issues where there was a limited amount of space for storage and works to be undertaken. Being in a building with a shared loading dock space with another building, the team managed all material deliveries on site and coordinated with the tenants and all stakeholders. Open communication and constant feedback between the SHAPE team and stakeholders resulted in a successful project delivery with minimal disruption.
