Unveiling a fresh take on the classic motel, strategically minimising downtime, and allowing our client to capitalise on the boom in regional travel within Australia.

The project included the upgrade of the existing 61 motel rooms, completely stripping back the original 1950s building to its structural shell, installing all-new services, replacing all internal facades as well as an external activation along the South Terrace frontage, creating visual impact from the street.

Stunningly designed by Studio Nine Architects who drew reference from the original motel features and inspiration from the South Australian landscape. The rooms feature a native palette of blues, oranges and walnut tones, with an emphasis on including locally produced products.
