Engaged under a design and construct contract, our team began works on the new tenancy as soon as it was secured, while ensuring that the aesthetics of their headquarters on Ann Street was carried over to the new Brookes Street space through intelligent design choices. The project’s occupation date was non-negotiable, so our team worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure that practical completion was honoured and that the project was delivered defect-free. Strong communication and collaboration drove the success of the project by helping us maintain relationships with stakeholders and keep the design within budget.
Value management was vital both before and during the construction period. The programme was built with a large contingency or ‘float’ to accommodate any errors throughout the construction process and allowed us to close out defects while keeping to time frames. As a result, we achieved a Perfect Delivery for Aurizon.
