On Thursday 9 October, SHAPE WA hosted its 2025 Annual Charity Golf Day at The Vines Resort, bringing together clients, subcontractors and industry partners for a day of friendly competition and a shared goal to give back. The event raised over $85,000 in support of the McGrath Foundation, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and MATES in Construction.
The day teed off with breakfast and registration, followed by a warm welcome and briefing from Damian La Rosa, General Manager at SHAPE – WA.
“The SHAPE Charity Golf Day is one of the highlights of our year. It’s fantastic to see our industry partners, subcontractors and clients come together not just for a great day on the green, but to make a real difference in our community,” said Damian. “This year’s event exceeded all expectations, and we’re so grateful for everyone who contributed.”
A huge thank you to our subcontractor partners for their support and donations for helping make the day such a success.

With 100 players across 25 teams, the day featured a shotgun start and a range of fun challenges and creative novelty holes, giving players plenty of opportunities to test their skills in an engaging atmosphere.
From tutus and fairy wings at the McGrath Foundation hole to the “Buy a Shot” challenge, where players swapped their golf clubs for cricket bats, baseball bats and tennis rackets. Protecta Group’s novelty hole was another crowd favourite, keeping the energy high all afternoon.
The afternoon rolled into lively presentations, raffles and auctions. Among the highlights was a golf ball signed by Glenn McGrath, generously donated by the McGrath Foundation. A highlight of the day was undoubtedly the auction of Damo’s famous Pasta Day, a much-loved SHAPE tradition that had bidders competing fiercely.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our subcontractors, sponsors and guests, SHAPE WA achieved its highest fundraising total to date, helping to support critical mental health and community programs across Western Australia.
We also extend our gratitude to our prize sponsors: Farinosi, Retravision, CommSuply, Star Group, Procuracon, Commercial Locksmiths, Aussie Plasterboard, Applied Design, Protecta Group, WAS, Gambarra, D&E, Universal Productions, Barbaro Butchers and Harvey Norman.
