SHAPE has today announced the integration of KL Modular Systems Australia (KLMSA) into its business. This move comes two years after SHAPE acquired the leading Victorian-based modular construction company, as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen its position in the modular construction sector.
With more than 37 years of experience in providing bespoke modular buildings for the education, government, and community services sectors, KLMSA has continued to operate in collaboration with SHAPE, since the acquisition in early April 2022.
With this integration, KLMSA will now operate under the SHAPE brand, marking a significant milestone in SHAPE’s expansion journey and allowing the business to consolidate its modular construction capabilities nationally.
Peter Marix-Evans, CEO at SHAPE: “In the two years since acquiring KLMSA, we have significantly expanded our national modular construction services. This expansion includes the establishment of a second manufacturing facility in Adelaide and substantial growth and investment of our team. By combining the strengths of KLMSA and SHAPE, we will leverage our collective 70-plus years of experience, expertise, resources, and networks to offer a seamless national service, improved efficiency, and enhanced convenience for our clients.”
Zarko Milakovic, General Manager, said: “This integration allows us to take our business to the next level and presents exciting opportunities for our people, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. By leveraging SHAPE’s national footprint, safety-first culture, leading EHSQ management systems, extensive training and development programs, and award-winning culture, we will be able to optimise our operational framework to deliver greater value to our clients nationwide, while offering the same level of transparency, trust, and customer-focused service.”
