Client Project Manager: Stefano Leupuscek
Delivery Model: CM converted to Lump Sum

Theatrical finishes and high end fixtures.

The construction works consisted of renovations to the existing space and included (but was not limited to):

  • New joinery
  • A commercial kitchen and bar
  • Speciality doors (bi-fold entry and PDR operable wall)
  • Floor tiling and carpet
  • New stucco finishes and partitions
  • Macramé artwork

We were involved right from the concept stage and worked closely with all stakeholders, including the end-users. Our team collaborated with the restaurant operators, chefs and staff at each stage of the journey; not just the client project management team and consultants.

The initial completion date had to be brought forward as The Star needed time to allow for staff training, restaurant bump-in and pre-Christmas trade. With careful planning, our team brought the programme forward seven weeks. Staged handovers allowed training and bump-in to begin early.

SHAPE achieved Perfect Delivery and Flying Fish opened its doors with trained staff, tested menus and all systems operating the day after handover with no extra costs.
