DLG SHAPE was engaged by the Federal Court of Australia to construct a new family law courtroom in Rockhampton. The project included a purpose-built courtroom, adjoining internal public areas and judges’ chambers, designed to support the Court’s operational needs in a professional and functional setting.
The fitout featured premium finishes, including 3D acoustic panelling to improve sound performance and high-grade timber veneer to achieve a refined and durable outcome. Built by DLG SHAPE with SHAPE Australia as delivery partner, the project required careful coordination to deliver the design intent and maintain quality across a regional site.
As delivery partner, SHAPE supported delivery through project coordination and consistent stakeholder communication, including regular regional site visits and frequent email updates. This approach helped keep the Federal Court informed throughout the works and supported timely resolution of site conditions, services changes and other scope adjustments during the programme.
