SHAPE Melbourne’s Charity Golf Day is back on course after being postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. But this year, it’s different!
We’re working with Launch Housing – a Melbourne-based community organisation that delivers homelessness services and life-changing housing support to disadvantaged Victorians – as part of our ReSHAPE community initiative.
Instead of donating cash to our nominated charity, our Golf Day participants have pledged their time and resources to help us refurbish a 43 room crisis accommodation centre in Melbourne. The project will be done in phases over the next few months, these generous businesses contribute in their respective fields of expertise and work towards our collective goal of providing a newly reinvigorated space for those most vulnerable in our community.
We are so excited to be able to assist Launch Housing in the fantastic work they do to end homelessness. They are passionately committed to creating lasting social change to help those most in need in our community. Having had the pleasure of working with the Launch Housing team previously on a few projects, we felt they were the best fit for our latest ReSHAPE initiative.
The Melbourne team is already overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support we’ve received to do this so far for our generous subcontractors – watch this space and keep an eye on our socials for updates on this exciting project!
