SHAPE Melbourne cycled through the Property Industry Foundation’s (PIF) annual Tour de PIF event on Friday, 18 November 2022 to raise much needed funds for homeless youth.
The SHAPE Melbourne team of 20 rode a combined total of 1000km at RACV Healesville on the day. They went elbow to elbow with industry partners JLL, APP Corporation, Carr and Warren and Mahoney to raise $6k in funds to go towards the PIF charity project Haven House Shepparton.
PIF connects the property and construction industry in a collaboration to positively impact on youth homelessness. The Tour de PIF in Victoria brings together the industry for a day of cycling to raise money for the homeless youth. This event also cultivated opportunities for networking with industry colleagues during the fundraising lunch.
This event saw 240 people in attendance who all together raised $175k through fundraising, raffles, auctions, and pledges.
The money raised will help Haven House Shepparton (The Nest) – in partnership with Women’s Property Initiatives and The Bridge Youth Services – build three two-bedroom homes where young mums (up to 25 years old) can live independently with their children. In addition to receiving support, safety and stability for up to five years, tenants gain a rental history to help them access the private rental market in the future.
