FareShare Garden Day

At SHAPE, we are proud to support the work of charitable organisations that are doing their part to build and support our local communities.

Our Melbourne team has once again taken a Friday off the hustle and bustle of the office to help FareShare with much needed manual labour.

Weeding and harvesting was the task on hand – and one of the most satisfying things was harvesting the thyme planted by the last lot of SHAPE garden volunteers. The gang got stuck in and did an amazing job despite the steaming heat!

Aside from having a blooming good time, the best thing was contributing effort for some very visible results – harvesting 62 kilos of vegetables and herbs.

It was fantastic to see so much hard work come to fruition and, more importantly, know that our efforts were adding to the nutritional value of the meals FareShare provides.

We are already planning the next day volunteering with FareShare, helping cook and prep meals for delivery. Plenty of foodies in the Melbourne office, keen to put their chopping skills to the test.
