SHAPE was engaged by the Department of Social Services (DSS) to complete a single-floor fitout in their office in Penrith. The DSS is an institution whose mission is to improve the well-being of individuals and families in Australian communities. SHAPE has a longstanding working relationship with the DSS through previous successful projects.

The scope of works included:

  • A complete fitout in nine weeks
  • High spec fitout with high grade finishes
  • A new breakout space
  • New board rooms and meeting rooms with complete audiovisual equipment
  • Security features
  • Installation of furniture and workstations
  • A new Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant bathroom

This was a turnkey project where the goal was for construction works to be completed with sufficient time to allow for a smooth handover. Time was a critical factor in this project, as the DSS needed to move out of the Parramatta office by a specific date. To ensure timely delivery, our team allocated resources and strictly managed the workflow.
