A modern, future-ready terminal designed for growth and passenger convenience

After successfully delivering Early Works Package, SHAPE was engaged to undertake Existing Terminal Retail and Operational Optimisation – Main Works Package (ETROO-MWP).

This project focuses on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency at terminal. Building on Early Works Package, which expanded northern Departures Lounge and introduced new gates and retail spaces, Main Works Package aims to modernise and optimise terminal further.

Scope includes demolishing outdated structures, such as former Duty-Free tenancy and Australian Border Security offices, to create additional floor space. New retail outlets, enhanced seating areas, and dedicated Food & Beverage zone will be introduced, elevating Departures Lounge’s service levels. Other upgrades include Changing Places facility, improved wayfinding, and new Flight Information Displays, significantly enhancing passenger convenience and accessibility.

By modernising terminal, ETROO project will accommodate projected growth while improving overall passenger experience, ensuring terminal meets future demands with refreshed, contemporary design.
