Having completed multiple projects for this Commonwealth Government agency across Australia, SHAPE+ was engaged to refurbish the existing Brisbane office at 299 Adelaide Street to create an open plan space and allow for the growing number of staff.
Working with the consultants and the facilities team, SHAPE+ was able to ensure all the works were completed within a tight seven-week turnaround. The SHAPE+ team’s experience working in a high security Government building meant security requirements were able to be navigated smoothly.
To make the two meeting rooms larger, two existing walls were demolished, and new walls were constructed and painted. New FCU units were then installed, along with new chairs and tables.
The scope of works also included the installation of new workstations and joinery for the hot desking area, new data cabling, and make good of carpet. The entry door and glazing section in the lobby included SCEC Zone 2 requirements.
