Due to changes within the business, John Holland wished to move to a more agile workplace that featured breakout and meeting spaces to facilitate discussions and encourage a collaborative environment. Our team had not worked with the client before; therefore it was vital to hold a start-up meeting to determine the client’s project objectives and requirements for the multilevel fitout. Delivering a deliver a high-quality office fitout that aligned with the John Holland brand safely was essential. The works were to be completed in a strict 12-week programme, and included:
- Workstation areas and small meeting rooms
- Breakout and FOH spaces
- Collaborative spaces with AV
This project was delivered in an operational environment, and our team worked closely with Dexus building management to ensure the tenants were not impacted. We also installed hoarding to delineate the areas of construction and WHS signage in the surrounding tenancies to be aware of live ceiling spaces. Works fell over the Christmas shut down period; however, any impact on the programme was avoided through careful planning. There were also design changes close to the end of the project with workstation areas being converted to a highly technical service and data room; but with close monitoring of the programme, the project was delivered on time.
