Design and Construct
The purpose of this renovation and upgrade project was to add sale value to the building and to improve the customer and tenant experience. Attracting long-term tenants and bringing the building up to the current fire and electrical compliance standards were of utmost importance.
Keeping BCF and Officeworks trading safely throughout the heavy external demolition and construction works was crucial. To keep tenants comfortably trading, our team carefully thought out staging plans incorporating tenants, customers, client, consultants, PCA in conjunction with SHAPE requirements. Construction zone planning to preserve as much car parking as possible and keep the building looking presentable was also implemented. Weekly communication with the tenants regarding construction works took place in the form of a simplified two-week look-ahead program.
Our team discussed programme drivers openly with the client to proactively find solutions to any concerns. As a result, tenants were able to stay open and trading as per their lease agreements. Our ability to understand the client’s needs allowed us to focus our efforts and accelerate specific areas and tasks to achieve the project objectives.
