David loves to keep fit and can be found in the gym most mornings. To relax, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and spending time in the water surfing or jet skiing.
While on holidays in 2012, he was stung by an Irukandji jellyfish and came close to death.
David started his career within the construction industry in 2002 and has been exposed to all aspects of building, including managing teams of up to 50+ while looking after up to 200+ contractors.
David has worked on projects from $500,000 – $200 million in both commercial and high-end residential sectors and within his roles he has had exposure to all aspects of the industry: casinos, hotels, hospitality, health, education, corporate offices and government.
Adam is a proud dad to his two little boys and Buffy, the British Staffy. On the weekends, Adam enjoys tinkering with his latest project, a 1976 260Z Datsun, and supporting the All Blacks and Hurricanes in no particular order.
Adam has been known to watch various reality TV series with his wife while they’re ‘on in the background.’

Adam began his career in the building and construction industry as a licensed electrician and data technician over 17 years ago and has been a valued SHAPIAN for over nine years.
As the Operations Manager for QLD, Adam is responsible for monitoring and improving performance across all SHAPE projects. Key imperatives of his role are to ensure that operational excellence, safety standards and quality management standards are maintained and exceeded.
Phillip is a keen Brisbane Broncos supporter and has a fascination with rotary engines. He has two sons, two grandsons and a house full of pets. He believes that pets and family are two ways to experience love and learn patience.

Phil’s career spans over three decades, the last 14 with SHAPE. His hands-on experience in the building industry, coupled with operational, project delivery and strategic management make him an invaluable member of the team.
As Group Executive – Environment, Health, Safety and Quality, Phil leads our ‘safety first’ culture, together with a strategic but practical ‘best practice’ approach to our environment and quality responsibilities. Phil has a Diploma of Work Health and Safety, a Certificate IV in both Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Construction, and is a registered builder.
Originally from the South Island in New Zealand, Tim enjoys cold climates and, ironically, now lives in one of Australia’s hottest cities. Tim has travelled the world as a ski instructor, became fluent in Japanese along the way, and is now a keen triathlete who stays active by training for events and mountain biking.
Tim is an enthusiastic All Blacks and Crusaders supporter along with his fellow Kiwi colleagues.

Tim has 10+ years of cross-sector commercial experience gained from various senior management roles.
With a strong background in customer relations and stakeholder engagement, Tim plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing SHAPE QLD’s business and sales strategies.
In his role as Business Development Manager, Tim combines his industry experience and networks to generate opportunities with new and existing clients through early and direct engagement, ensuring SHAPE’s consistency of approach and certainty of delivery.
Josh is passionate about his family and friends and is a proud dad to his little boy and small fluffy dog Misia. He is determined to get a Guinness World Record in a sport, having attempted two so far; breaking the time but missing out on technicalities. Josh loves playing all sports, especially beach volleyball, and going to the gym.

Josh has over 10 years of experience working within the building and construction sector, both client and builder side. He has extensive experience working across a range of sectors including commercial office, education and healthcare.
Josh has successfully led the delivery of several extensive multi-staged projects including the Office of Public Prosecution’s Melbourne office ($10 million) and the Valley Heart refurbishment project ($12 million). Having significant design experience across a range of projects and developing complex programmes to cater for challenging environments makes Josh a valued General Manager.
Steve is kept busy by his two little girls and backyard menagerie of bees, chickens and his dog, Muffin. On the weekends Steve stays active by playing golf and swimming and pays homage to his Italian heritage by making homemade dinners with ingredients from his veggie patch.
Steve is known around the office for his Christmas ham glaze expertise, as well as his commitment to ‘Pink Shirt Fridays.’
Working in the building and construction industry for over 20 years has provided Steve with invaluable experience in commercial, government, heritage, retail, high-end residential, industrial and specialised projects.
Steve has a demonstrated insight into both operational and commercial management functions. Steve has an excellent track record for managing safety, risk and profitability, as well as a thorough understanding of business management through strategic planning, financial reporting and project delivery.
Born and raised in Brisvegas, Mackenzie makes the most of her hometown by trying out new restaurants and bars, the odd pilates class, and replacing her dead houseplants at cute, local nurseries!
On the weekends, Mackenzie enjoys sharing a cheese platter with friends and family, hitting the beach with her partner, Ryan, and spoiling her new fur baby, Honey.
Having worked in the construction industry since her university days, Mackenzie has been exposed to many functions of the business, including marketing, estimating, strategy and submissions.
In her role as Bid Manager, she works alongside the estimating, project management and senior leadership teams to develop winning tender submissions.
By ensuring each bid is tailored to the client as much as possible, Mackenzie injects as much creativity as she can into her work to achieve bespoke tender submissions for SHAPE Queensland.
Having lived in the UK until her mid-twenties, Katie travelled the world before meeting her Aussie husband and moving to Brisbane.
Katie enjoys music, camping and the outdoors, and often goes away on ‘unplugged’ weekends with her friends and family.
A native Londoner, Katie began her career as an Operations Executive for festivals hosted across the UK and Ireland that attract over 50,000 patrons.
Katie has over 10 years of experience in administration and has fulfilled the roles of Personal Assistant and Office Manager within the entertainment, restaurant, beauty and construction industries.
A confessed admin geek, Katie loves to organise people and things, no matter how big or small.
