David loves to keep fit and can be found in the gym most mornings. To relax, he enjoys spending time with his family and his labradoodle, playing golf and spending time in the water surfing or jet skiing.
While on holiday in 2012, he was stung by an Irukandji jellyfish and came close to death.
David started his career within the construction industry in 2002 as a carpenter and since then has been exposed to all aspects of building, including managing teams of up to 50+ while looking after up to 200+ contractors.
David has worked on award-winning projects from $500,000 – $200 million in both commercial and high-end residential sectors and within his roles he has had exposure to all aspects of the industry: casinos, hotels, hospitality, health, education, corporate offices, and government.
Phillip is a keen Brisbane Broncos supporter and has a fascination with rotary engines. He has two sons, two grandsons and a house full of pets. He believes that pets and family are two ways to experience love and learn patience.

Phil’s career spans over three decades, the last 14 with SHAPE. His hands-on experience in the building industry, coupled with operational, project delivery and strategic management make him an invaluable member of the team.
As Group Executive – Environment, Health, Safety and Quality, Phil leads our ‘safety first’ culture, together with a strategic but practical ‘best practice’ approach to our environment and quality responsibilities. Phil has a Diploma of Work Health and Safety, a Certificate IV in both Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Construction, and is a registered builder.
Originally from the South Island in New Zealand, Tim enjoys cold climates and, ironically, now lives in one of Australia’s hottest cities. Tim has travelled the world as a ski instructor, became fluent in Japanese along the way, and is now a keen triathlete who stays active by training for events and mountain biking.
Tim is an enthusiastic All Blacks and Crusaders supporter along with his fellow Kiwi colleagues.

Tim has 10+ years of cross-sector commercial experience gained from various senior management roles.
With a strong background in customer relations and stakeholder engagement, Tim plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing SHAPE QLD’s business and sales strategies.
In his role as Business Development Manager, Tim combines his industry experience and networks to generate opportunities with new and existing clients through early and direct engagement, ensuring SHAPE’s consistency of approach and certainty of delivery.
Born and raised in Brisvegas, Mackenzie makes the most of her hometown by trying out new restaurants and bars, the odd pilates class, and replacing her dead houseplants at cute, local nurseries!
On the weekends, Mackenzie enjoys sharing a cheese platter with friends and family, hitting the beach with her partner, Ryan, and spoiling her new fur baby, Honey.
Having worked in the construction industry since her university days, Mackenzie has been exposed to many functions of the business, including marketing, estimating, strategy and submissions.
In her role as Bid Manager, she works alongside the estimating, project management and senior leadership teams to develop winning tender submissions.
By ensuring each bid is tailored to the client as much as possible, Mackenzie injects as much creativity as she can into her work to achieve bespoke tender submissions for SHAPE Queensland.
Born in Maryborough QLD, Elliott is a husband and proud father of two young boys, and his pup Odie the Labradoodle. He enjoys getting out in the 4×4 and adventuring with the family, chilling on Noosa beach, fishing on the odd occasion (only when they are biting), Rum and Cooking over charcoal/spit with a bunch of mates.
Elliott has worked across multiple sectors in the construction industry in various roles, namely mining oil & gas, infrastructure, civil and utilities and now finally building & construction, with his main background works as a civil earthworks machine operator.
Elliott joined SHAPE in 2017 as a Site Foreman and worked his way to SHAPE+ QLD Manager, whilst completing a Bachelor of Business.
Having lived in the UK until her mid-twenties, Katie travelled the world before meeting her Aussie husband and moving to Brisbane.
Katie enjoys music, camping and the outdoors, and often goes away on ‘unplugged’ weekends with her friends and family.
A native Londoner, Katie began her career as an Operations Executive for festivals hosted across the UK and Ireland that attract over 50,000 patrons.
Katie has over 10 years of experience in administration and has fulfilled the roles of Personal Assistant and Office Manager within the entertainment, restaurant, beauty and construction industries.
A confessed admin geek, Katie loves to organise people and things, no matter how big or small.
Gareth has over 20 years of experience in the building and construction industry and first began his career in Carpentry in Sydney. Since joining SHAPE in 2018 for the second time, he has fulfilled the roles of Senior Site Manager and Construction Manager. Gareth has played a huge part in our team culture in general, and championed our Gender Action Plan committee for some time, which has contributed greatly to what a fantastic position we are currently in as a growing and diverse branch. As well as being QLD’s Operations Manager, Gareth is also part of the QLD Senior Leadership Team.
Nickname: Tee Wee
Tim is a proud New South Welshman so has found the past 10 years since moving to Queensland extremely difficult around State of Origin time. Tim’s ideal day involves an early morning swim at the beach, followed by some sport (golf, tennis, cricket) and then a BBQ with family and friends.
Tim commenced his career with SHAPE in 2011 as a Building Cadet in the Sydney office. After working on one of SHAPE’s largest projects, Star Casino Sydney, Tim accepted a secondment to Brisbane where he has had the opportunity to work on various projects across all sectors including health, education, commercial office and hospitality. After living in London for over 2 years, where he had the opportunity to work on one of Europe’s largest Infrastructure projects, Crossrail, Tim has since returned to the SHAPE Brisbane Office where he is currently in the role of Project Director.
Tim is passionate about building and maintaining effective professional relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes are delivered.

Luke is born and raised in Redcliffe and is the youngest of 5 in his family. He loves playing basketball, the occasional game of golf and has a passion for Formula 1 (thanks to Drive to Survive.) Luke recently completed a 6-month trip around Australia with his two Italian Greyhounds and beautiful fiancé, Erin and is now looking forward to getting married.
Prior to working at SHAPE, Luke was completing a carpentry apprenticeship. He joined as a building cadet in the QLD office in 2016 and has been here ever since. In the last 5 years Luke has had a fast career progression, which he attributes to “the amazing leadership I have received along the way.”
Luke has worked on some of QLD’s largest projects such as the Star Casino, Thiess & ARTC
Daniel is a proud father to two girls and Ollie, the Groodle. He has a passion for all water sports and loves to keep fit in the pool and enjoys spending weekends and holidays with friends and family at the beach.
Daniel is a highly experienced construction professional with over twenty years’ experience in the industry, across a range of roles and disciplines, including design, project management, operations management and construction management.
A highly capable leader, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge to support SHAPE’s project teams in his role as Project Director.
